Open Season On Open Source

One of the attractive things about open source software is the collaborative aspect, and that it has a sort of built in peer review. However, that does not always mean that unwelcome things may not find their way in - like the Linux kernel keylogger incident last year, or the malicious backdoor that went unnoticed in some applications from Horde.org. Is nothing sacred?
