Already there are quite a few articles available along these lines - how to make Windows 8 look and feel more like Windows 7, or XP. Why? Because people are generally resistant to change, or at least don't necessarily like having it forced upon them. Now instead of buying a new PC running Windows 8, you could buy an Apple computer instead, or even one running a version of Linux. Of course you would have a bit of a learning curve there too, so we circle back to making Windows 8 a little more familiar.
