FreeBSD Servers Compromised

FreeBSD, the Unix-like operating system descended from the original AT&T and BSD Unix versions, had an unfortunate and embarrassing breach on their servers where the code to the OS is stored.
The team says that it has now audited the basic system (base) as well as the third-party packages: no unauthorised changes have been found in the base system's source code, and all program packages that are currently available to download have also been verified. However, the developers note that they can't guarantee the integrity of packages that were downloaded between 19 September and 11 November.
