Apple Nixes Any And All Cryptocurrency Mining Apps

Apple has come down forcefully against allowing any kind of crypto mining software to be used on their hardware; even "simulated" miners such as the Electroneum (ETN) miner already available on Android.

Indeed, until this announcement, the Electroneum team were working on an Apple version of their "non-mining" miner (essentially just an avenue to "airdrop" ETN into the smartphone owners wallet).

My understanding is that there should still be an Electroneum wallet app made for iOS, but with no mining capability.

Apple has usually been a lot more protective of their app store content than the Google Play store, and has presented more of a "walled garden" approach to their ecosystem.
